Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue The. Ellis Taylor is an American actor and producer. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch school of the arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue l. Ellis, the American producer and actress who has performed in theatre and TV and films as also, has been active in both the film and theater screen. She began her career as an actress in theatre and then went on to make appearances in numerous TV shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with critical acclaim but also numerous nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995 she was the first actress to make her debut with The Tempest as Ariel. Her stage credits include The Broadway performance that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted by her roles on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. For her work on television she's been recognized for her part as the regular character in ABC's police drama High Incident.
